Some more panels for Speed Date 2

I've just finished page 4 of Speed Date 2 for this years Hallowscream  written by the very talented Dirk Van Dom.

Things are starting to heat up in Tuckers little 'Love Nest'. He may even think he'll get his end away!

Anyone fancy a bit of Speed Dating??

Last year a small press publication called Hallowscream featured a story called Speed Date which was written by the very talented Dirk Van Dom and illustrated by the enigmatic Ghostpockets.

Now Ghostpockets style is very unique. I can see a little bit of a Mike McMahon influence in his work, (after Mr McMahon mutated his style again) which isn't a bad thing.

Anyway, due to other commitments Ghostpockets wasn't available to illustrate the second part of Speed Date - Speed Date 2 - Cruz Control (cool title or what!)  So after the work that I had produced for Dr WTF, Dirk asked me if I would like to take over the mantle of drawing the final episode of the story. After reading the script how could it refuse!! Expect, blood, snot and a hot bad-ass chick!

Below is the first page of the second episode. I'm wanting to keep the continuity going buy using Ghostpockets colours, but try and make it a bit more grittier as the story does become quite dark.

And below is the final page of the first episode.

And finally (because I'm waffling) is the initial concept sketch of the main character 'Tucker'

Horrible Histories.... Frightful Futures

For this months 2000ad Forum competiton

The Brief: A Children's book adaptation of 2000 ad.

"Choose a well known children's book and adapt it to a 2000ad story or character. You could draw the artwork in the style of a certain children's book or pick a scene in a children's book and change it to suit the 2000 ad universe. Anything goes... the sky's the limit."
I wish history was taught like this when I was at school. And probably the funnies program on TV... Horrible Histories.

So I give you not just a single book, but a whole frickin series.... Frightful Futures!! I could have gone on and on with Dastardly Droids, Galactic Gladiators, Barmy Berserkers , etc etc.
